Write a play for Short+Sweet

No matter whether you have written several plays or none at all, Short+Sweet is a great opportunity to see your work produced professionally on stage, and to collaborate with other passionate writers, directors and actors.

The ten-minute play format of Short+Sweet is also a wonderfully creative challenge: how do you write a short play that is both a complete and satisfying piece of theatre?

The process of writing a short play is very similar to a full-length one, so you will find that the experience will serve you well in years to come.

To help you, we've included a script for you to read, plus a play to view as well. The script and video will give you a good idea of what works in the ten-minute format. We also advise you to read our Hints for Writers.

Deadline for script submissions: Friday, 29 February 2008
